Talking to children when a parent has been arrested/convicted with regard to child abuse material on the internet

This helpful information sheet from the Lucy Faithfull Foundation guides parents/carers and professionals through conversations with children whose parents have been arrested or convicted as a result of looking at child abuse material on the internet.

It covers questions children may have about child sex abuse, possible responses for parents to consider, highlights the benefits of openness and guides readers in terms of what information is appropriate to share with children and what may not be. While the information sheet refers to 'Dad' throughout, it is also relevant to families where a mother or other family member has offended.
