Children's Links is a national children's charity committed to improving the quality of life experiences for children, young people, families and communities. Children's Links work with prisons, run play and youth projects, deliver training and provide support to other voluntary sector organisations.
Visitor Centres: Children's Links visitor centres provide a welcoming environment with staff who provide a friendly face and a listening ear. Children's Links aim to make the visits process easier and less stressful for all visitors, providing information and advice about the prison and wider family support.
Visits Hall: At some establishments Children's Links also staff a play area in the visit hall that provides positive activities for children and young people of all ages. The charity has also developed packs for children and their parents to complete together at their seats, getting them interacting positively and having fun together.
Training: Children's Links can offer courses for prison staff and other voluntary organisations on using play to deliver effective family visits. They can also deliver parenting courses in prisons. Children's Links currently deliver services at the following locations: HMP Highpoint HMP Stocken HMP Whitemoor IRC Morton Hall.
