Jigsaw runs a family support project at HMP Wealstun. There is a small team offering services to prisoners and their families with a diverse range of issues. The service aims to ensure families are able to gain greater access to support and early help within their local community. Support services and families also work together to decrease the chance of intergenerational crime. Jigsaw aims to improve the outcomes for children and families of offenders, by supporting and fostering the maintenance of positive family relationships and championing a ‘Think Family’ approach to reduce re-offending.
