Sussex Prisoners' Families support families affected by the imprisonment of a family member. Our services enable families to cope emotionally and practically with the imprisonment of a loved one and we have designed our services by listening to families:
• Our Volunteer Court Family Support service operates in the Crown and
Magistrates’ courts across Sussex
• We provide a First Stop Advice helpline offering long term 1-2-1
support
• We run community-based family support groups
• We have an outreach team supporting families and building networks
with local services
• Volunteers support the families visiting experience in HMP Lewes
• The ‘Hidden Voices’ project uses the arts as a platform for families
to tell their story
• Our website provides practical information for families and
professionals.
• We provide training for professionals including ‘Hidden Sentence’ and
‘Working with families of sexual offenders’
