The Dreadnought Centre is a registered charity working in Cornwall with children and young people who are experiencing difficulties in their lives.
The work undertaken is varied and ranges from individual anger management and self-esteem building, to socialisation groups. Historically, restorative justice work has also taken place. The Dreadnought Centre has been delivering services and has had links with both statutory and voluntary agencies in Cornwall for 40 years. SPF100 is a new project developed by the Dreadnought Centre working with children and young people who have a close family member in Prison, facing a prison sentence or being released from prison. The work can encompass one to one sessions, parent/carer play sessions and group sibling sessions. The Dreadnought Centre works to an ethos and philosophy of unconditional acceptance and non-judgment.
