Research Launch: A Needs Assessment of Veterans in Custody, their Families and Children

This research was funded by the Forces in Mind Trust after identifying a gap in current research in exploring the needs and impact of parental imprisonment for veteran offenders which make up between 3.5 – 6 % of the male prison population. Date & Venue: Monday 10th February 2020, 10-2.30pm at The Studio, Birmingham.

The launch will offer:

1. Take home copies of the report
2. A chance to hear our key findings and recommendations directly from our researchers
3. Key note speakers, including veterans and family members who contributed to the research
4. The opportunity to network with a variety of professionals (HMPPS, MOD, Military Charities, Family Support Agencies and Academics) including facilitated round table discussions to workshop how you and your service may take our recommendations forward
